The shortlists for the Shirley Jackson Awards have been announced, and we're delighted that Robert Sharp's The Good Shabti is a finalist!
The awards are are voted upon by a jury of professional writers, editors, critics, and academics, and celebrate "outstanding achievement in the literature of psychological suspense, horror, and the dark fantastic".
The Good Shabti has been recognised alongside works by Lauren Beukes, Jesse Bullington, Kanae Minato, Alison Littlewood and other horror and 'dark fantastic' greats.
Congratulations to Rob on his brilliant debut. And congratulations to the entire team, including artist Jeffrey Alan Love and the Egypt Exploration Society's John J Johnston for their hard (and exceptional) work.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in July.
